Typically during the early fall and spring terms, students and faculty would enjoy picnics for meals in the woods surrounding the Hill School.

Often, faculty and students would go shoot on the local rifle range on weekends.

The Schuylkill River provided locals and Hill students with accessible swimming, rafting, and fishing.

This bridge near the school ran over the Schuylkill River and was a popular swimming location during the spring and summer.

The Pottstown railroads provided transportation for students and jobs in the summer for those who were close to the school.
